About Us – JUNIOR GOLF IN MICHIGAN!
The First Tee of Eastern Michigan’s offices and home-site are located at IMA Brookwood Golf Club in Burton, Michigan. Our facility features 18-holes of golf, two putting greens, a short game practice area, driving range, pro-shop and banquet facilities.
The First Tee of Eastern Michigan started out as a local junior golf program run by the IMA Recreation Association (IMARA) and IMA Brookwood Golf Club. Thanks to the efforts of the staff and board of directors of the IMARA, we were granted our chapter license in December of 2013. Currently we offer summer programs in Genesee and Lapeer Counties and will expand into Saginaw and Tuscola Counties in the near future. The First Tee of Eastern Michigan is a program of the IMA Recreation Association with an Advisory Board that oversee’s operations of the program. Please see our Advisory Board Members listed below.
Junior Golfers ages 5-18 can join The First Tee of Eastern Michigan for a $50 membership fee (scholarships are available). Summer sessions are $50 each and include 5-weeks of lessons and Life Skills curriculum, golf balls, course materials, play days and end of season tournament and banquet.
