What’s new at The First Tee of Eastern Michigan

NEW STEM Links Program!

The First Tee of Eastern Michigan will offer a NEW STEM Links program this summer at IMA Brookwood Golf Club. Junior Golfers will have the opportunity to join PGA Professional Joe Simpson and special guests to link golf with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics through an exploration of unique and interactive class themes.

Classes will be held at IMA Brookwood Golf Club in Burton. Open to kids ages 11 & Up who are registered in The First Tee of Eastern Michigan program. Cost of the class is $60 per student. On-line registration is available (click the link below). The Fall Session will start on Monday, September 19th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. and will run Mondays and Wednesdays until September 28th.

Week #1 - Geometric Scaling & how to read break on the greens.
Week #2 - Kinematics & rolling your ball the proper distance.
Week #3 - Six degrees of Freedom (6-DOF) & a predictable swing.
Week #4 - Hinges and Joints & the connection with the golf club.
